I recently went on a trip with some of my best girlfriends from High school and we took on Grand Lake, Colorado. Y’all this was my first time taking a trip with my friends from high school, since high school. It was fun to say the least and we had the opportunity to explore Grand Lake Colorado, went tubing along with did a little bit of exploring and it was fun to say the least.
Courier Market Bar Kitchen: Brunch was amazing, we ate at the Courier Market which is located inside Grand Hyatt Denver, the brunch was absolutely divine, as I’ve said already. My friends and I enjoy brunch c/o and couldn’t recommend it any more! The Courier Market offers a few ways you can enjoy brunch, one being buffet style, they also have a chief available to make on-demand French Toast, Waffles, you name it. Thank you to the team at Courier Market for having us. Here is what I had while enjoying brunch in Denver, Co.
Full American Buffet: this is where I was able to get the waffles and French toast, they also offer hash browns that are available buffet style and flavorful danishes and so many unique appetizing pieces that will be sure to get you full.
Menu items: I love a good menu item and one that I picked for my meal was a smoothie bowl. The bowl was filled with greens, fruits, granola and coconut, y’all coconut is my favorite.
We took on some exploring in the Rocky Mountains and stopped by The Winter Park Coca-Cola Tubing center. I’m a girl that loves thrills so this was right up my alley and it was so much fun.
There were three lanes at this center each going a bit faster than the other, they even let you go backwards and spin down the lane which was so much fun. They also have a conveyor belt to bring you back to the top of the hill once you finish your round which was so much fun going up and enjoying the scenic views.
Be mindful you are at a higher altitude so it does feel like you run out of breathe faster up here even just dragging along your little tube.
Other things to do to have fun while in Grand Lake, Colorado is to explore some of the hiking trails and Adams Falls. The views going here were beautiful and I’ll warn you now the snow during this time of year was deep (they actually had just had a huge snow storm before we arrived), but it was also nice to experience snow sticking like this. ( I fell in a pit of snow that went past my knee, so crazy?)
Another place to check on the way to Grand Lake is Garden of the Gods. This place is magical and I just can’t believe the rock placement, it is definitely Gods work, such a beauty. What I loved about this is that there are multiple places to park to see different rock formations and its FREE! You don’t even have to get out if you don’t want to, if you are wanting to just drive through, go right ahead. But these views are gorgeous and you will want to see them all!
For the other days and meals that we had while here, my friends and I actually made one meal each day which made it super easy and a great way for us to be able to enjoy the cabin that we stayed in. We stopped at the Walmart which was at the bottom of the mountain (1 hour 45 mins), this was our first time going to Grand Lake and while driving to the cabin there were other local grocery stores on the way (45 mins from the cabin). Our Cabin was so homey and so comfortable. You don’t feel out of place when you are there you definitely feel like you are at home and that’s what I loved about it. The views from the cabin as well were so beautiful and you could see the lake from our balcony.
