Y’all I quit my job, life has been full of tons of ups and downs lately and this right here is definitely an up and I couldn’t be more excited about it. if you have been following me for a while you know that i have been blogging for quite a while now and that time is now to go full throttle and I (again) couldn’t be more excited. Y’all I quit my job , now why?
The job that I held for the last 5 years I don’t regret it at all, in fact it has allowed me to be in the place that I am in and the person that I have become to this day. I will say that all though I absolutely hated the work, the people I worked with allowed it to be more bearable for me over the course of the year and I was sad to leave them, but can’t let that stop me from growing to my full potential.
I have dreamed of this day for maybe 2 years now, quitting my 9-5 in pursuit of my dreams, being an entrepreneur and being my own boss. I mean who doesn’t want to be their own boss, do what they love and make money doing it.
I will say that I never thought my blog would get to a point to where I actually made money from it and better yet enough to cover my monthly bills but here we are.
When I first started my blog it was a passion project for me, I’m passionate about sharing my experiences, my style and of course just life experiences in general. I am a lifestyle blogger.
After having my son, it became even more apparent to me that staying home and controlling my time was more important than ever. I wanted to be home, to see him grow, to be more involved in his upbringing. After my maternity leave I was working 10a-9p M-Thurs. with F-Sa-Su off. Although that was alot of time away from my son I was able to make due. But then my schedule changed to 10a-7p M-F and alternating Sa. This was a problem and made it even more impossible for me to get that quality time with my husband and my son or even get my blog content done. I stressed about meeting deadlines for clients and it was just too much for me to bare. ie keep the house in order, be a wife, be a mother, an entrepreneur and hold a full time job.
This is when I decide it was time to quit my full time job.
While working I use these blue light blocking glasses to reduce the strain while working on my computer.
My Plans
My goal for this platform is to continue to inspire, share my experience, bring to you all even more exciting content that I have before.
I currently share my post on Tuesday and Thursday with optional Wednesdays for Youtube. I will continue this until have my rhythm down and ready to take on even more content per week to share with guys, but for now, see you Tuesday and Thursdays!
