I have been a super fan of all things burlap this season, I have added little speckles of it throughout my home for the holidays.
I wanted to take it one step further and add this DIY burlap wreath to my front door to tie everything together in our home.
Fun Fact: this project took me about 10 mins to complete minus the painting part.
The items I have used Bunch, Bunch, Bunch bunch the burlap section in-between the ring The burlap I used The two Ribbon colors I chose for my bow Cut the burlap in section to add to the ring in smaller pieces
Let’s take it step by step.
- Step One: Paint your letter, you can choose whatever letter you want, if you want the initial of your last name, first name, whatever is your preference. I chose S for our last name, Small.
- Step Two: Take the burlap and pull it through both inserts on the ring, the burlap will stay put so there is no need for glue. What I like to do as well is pinch the burlap as close together to make it nice and snug. I did this in sections of burlap to get it all to stay.
- Step Three: Make a bow. use your choice of ribbon, again I went with the theme I already have currently in our home and made a bow to add to the wreath.
- Step Four: Add the toppings. This is where you will add the bow and initial to the wreath and your project is complete.
Like this post? Since moving into our home I have been loving being able to create my own items for our come to really personalize our space. This has been one of those small projects that makes our home feel more like a home than a house.

I’d love to see how it turned out with the letter and the additional plaid ribbon. It’s so cute! I’m all about some burlap goodness.
