Between all the decorating the tree, putting up the lights and all the holiday jazz to your home I know the table decor can be the last thing on your mind. But I want to share with you how you can get your Holiday table decor for under $40! Yes, it can be done and I’m going to tell you how!
First things first, figure out a color scheme, this will be the foundation of the way your entire home and your table decor, so if you have a color scheme already for the rest of your home just bring that into your dinning room and there you go. This is our first year in our new home and it has been a hectic year turning our house to a home and literally gutting our home and basically starting over. I went back to work maybe 4 months ago and it has been a hectic 4 months, getting used to mom life, running a business, being a wife, trying to have a social and just trying to be put together can get crazy.
Here is how I made my table setting affordable this year. First things first is finding the centerpiece that you love, I found this one at AtHome, if you haven’t heard of AtHome they are probably one of the biggest home decor stores around! I thought hobby lobby was big but man this store is massive they have all things from bed decor, outdoor decor, accessories you need to find and many, many small items that you can use to decorate your home. Our bedroom will be the next place I decorate and I can’t wait. This piece was about $8!
Next I looked for place mats and I found the prettiest champagne ones at home goods (this is another favorite store of mine!) These were $8 as well and came with 6 mats! I then found super inexpensive white plates to place on top. I didn’t want to do actual expensive china at this time since we don’t have two dining areas in our home now, these plates were just $2.99 each at Target!. The last things that I got was napkins for the plates these were at hobby lobby for $2.99 (they are 50% off so only $1.50 each!) and ribbon to add to the decor this ribbon was 9.99 (50%off as well at hobby lobby) I used a piece of my ribbon from the same ribbon I used on our tree this year. The top touch was gold silverware my grandmother gave to me (I love items that have been passed down through generations.
