You need effortless curls to start the day, my everyday routine has definitely changed quite a bit since IV’s arrival, let’s just say completing tasks can be just a bit more tricky now than they have been before. Not to say that IV is a bad baby, but with any baby it can be a demanding job in its own. I love being a mom to this sweet little angel, but mama also has to get her to-do list (somewhat) completed.
Here is how I get my day started, and the ability to maintain “somewhat” put together in efforts to making it through the day. I like to make this super easy on myself and IV so that the process doesn’t take long at all.
The trick is I don’t curl every bit of my hair, I like to keep a few piece with its natural body wave. I begin by getting a medium section of hair not very small but not very thick as well (3 sections on each side of my head and 3 in the back) .
With this section I take my 1 inch curling iron and begin the curl, starting in the upper middle portion of the section and curling the hair until I am about a half inch to the bottom. This allows for me to get a nice bounce added to my hair without super defined curls added to my hair. (I want it to look effortless, almost wavy, not super curly).
I repeat just this for all 9 sections, some days its 6 sections. Typically if I am shooting which happens mainly on Saturdays, I will do 9 sections to ensure my hair looks perfect for shoots. When I am done I use this spray to hold my curls so that I don’t have to curl for a few days.
This is how I ensure I look put together and ready to tackle the day. How do you achieve an effortless curl?! I would love to know.
