We have been on a traveling spree since IV was born, (not really just to see family). However, we did get to stick a little bit of fun in there as well! So this is my first visit to SeaWorld San Antonio with my 3 month old . . . We traveled to San Antonio, full guide to come next week, and went to SeaWorld for the first time with the kids!
SeaWorld was seriously so much fun, we were able to see all the shows we wanted to, ride all the fun rides and thankfully not get splashed during Shamu’s 50th Celebration show! I’m so excited because I was able video the trip to SeaWorld and got some great footage.
Here are my takes on traveling with a 3 month old to SeaWorld for the first time!
Bring a Stroller that they can lay in and go to sleep in, I used our Maxi Cosi Zelia Travel System. I am so blessed that we were able to purchase this system before IV was born and it has been such a tremendous help when traveling with him. The stroller allows you to connect the carseat or the bassinet/stroller seat. When we are out of the car for long periods of time and I know IV will eventually fall asleep I bring the bassinet. I can sit it up so that he can see everything that is going on ( he is a noisy baby) or I can lay it down so that he can get nice and comfortable while taking a nap, it also has storage space at the bottom. We also decided to bring this baby carrier which ended up being so convenient, since our little guy is so noisy he was able to look around without being in the stroller sometimes.
Bring a fan, since this is a huge outdoor theme park and you are walking a lot it is so important to stay cool. I wanted IV to be as comfortable as possible, we were outside the majority of the day, we had quite a bit of cloud cover but it was still hot. Also some of the experiences where outside as well (Shamu’s Celebration Light up the Night, alligators exhibit, dolphin exhibit, hydro power extreme Show)
Proper walking shoes are a must, I already stated before that there is a lot of walking and I’m not lying it’s a pretty big park. But there is so many things to see along the way so it doesn’t seem like you are walking forever.
SeaWorld was so fun, refreshing and just an enjoyable time, even though it was for the kids I had so much being out of the house and enjoying some time with my little family. If you are looking for a great place to take the family while staying on budget SeaWorld is the place to go full of rides, shows and exhibits galore.

I think travel is still doable with kids…just have to do it differently! Great tips here. Sounds like a fun first visit!

omg yes, such a must this definitely saved us a lot. IV wanted to sit up sometimes and others he wanted to lay so this was perfect for keeping him calm the entire trip.

I LOVE going anywhere where there are animals! We have a Sea World here in Australia – although I think it’s a bit different – that I finally got to visit last year and I was over the moon the entire time. Definitely a lot of fun no matter what age you are!
