I get to enjoy my morning smoothie and it is great. It has almost been 3 weeks since the birth of my son IV and my body is starting to feel so much better after my c section. If you haven’t read about my birth story, you can do so here it is quite and interesting one!

My favorite thing about this smoothie is that it actually taste good! While I was pregnant I wasn’t really fond of smoothies as they left a bad taste in my mouth, but now I can enjoy them. Even better it is a great meal replacement for me as I am attempting to get back in shape after having my baby.
As of yesterday I am back to my pre-pregnancy weight! Which is crazy to me as I thought it would take so much longer for me to get back to it. I gained 25 pounds while pregnant, although I lost all that weight my body definitely feels and looks different. Since I had a c-section it will be a little while longer before I can begin working out so as for right now my goal is to eat right and get the proper nutrition.
My morning smoothie, or afternoon snack, is a great supplement for any meal and is a great way to keep you full throughout the day. Here is what I put in my smoothie:
- handful of spinach
- 4-5 strawberries
- whole banana (1/2 banana makes it less creamy)
- 1 cup of Almond Milk ( can substitute for water)
- 1 Teaspoon of Chia Seeds (keeps you full, the more the merrier)
- 1 scoop of protein powder: I am using LadyBoss Vanilla cake! This definitely adds to the deliciousness of this smoothie.
