Self care is a big aspect that I have been lacking lately. Stress can really take a toll on someone mentally and physically. I want to give you all a little insight on what I do to destress and clear my head.
Here are a few steps I have started taking to make sure I destress.
One: Analyze the situation that is causing you to stress. Honestly this is the first thing I started doing. If you realize what it is that is causing you to be stressed. I take the smallest things so serious and have been trying to find ways to not them bother me.
Two: Take deep breaths, when you feel yourself overwhelmed, breathe, instead of letting everything build up, just breathe.
Three: Take a vacation, a change of scenery is good for the soul! Although it’s nice to relax at home, going away and exploring a different city is so much better.
Four: Workout, this is the one I have had trouble with but getting better. Working out is not one of my strong suites. I actually feel it is very painful and cruel lol hahahah. But it will for sure take your mind off of the stress going on in life.
I felt that I needed to speak on the subject of distressing yourself because, not only can the the holidays be stressful but also life in general can be pretty stressful. If you don’t know how to contain and control stress it can potentially become much more. So destress don’t let everything get to you and understand that nothing in life can or will be perfect. Everyone goes through their ups and downs whether this is at work, at home, family or relationships, just breathe.
